You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Columbus College of Art & Design (CCAD) is seeking a PartTime Adjunct Instructor for our Game Department to teach Game Theory & Design. This course introduces art students to fundamental concepts of game analysis and contemporary design theory. Students will explore core design concepts such as player agency mechanics metaphor and accessibility through critical analysis of existing games. The course emphasizes theoretical foundations and analytical skills rather than physical prototyping.
Key Course Topics:
The successful candidate will guide students in developing a sophisticated understanding of game systems foster thoughtful discussions on game aesthetics and cultural impact and help students articulate how design choices affect player experience. Strong classroom management discussion facilitation and assessment skills are essential. Experience in game criticism design theory and familiarity with contemporary discourse in the field is required. This course is scheduled for in person sessions Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:00am 10:45am (EST). The position will begin August 2025.
