About the role
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Technical Officer to work as part of the Northern Inland Branch Conservation Team contributing towards the conservation of the natural environment flora fauna and aboriginal heritage. The Technical Officer is responsible for providing technical leadership coordination and support for conservation related programs and activities including priority pest and weed management activities. The role is responsible for preparing mapping for strategic pest and weed programs as well as monitoring and reporting on conservation effort spatial database inquiry and management managing activity data and information requirements for strategy development and reporting and ensuring quality and statutory standards are maintained. The role also includes training and supporting staff in the use of field data collection programs.

About you
Were keen to hear from you if you have a proven track record in conservation and/or related bushfire recovery programs and are adept at proactively scheduling and delivering planning and reporting information from operational systems that supports decision making and other operational and corporate programs.
