Visual Arts Teacher Middle & High School
Location: Milan Italy
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Fulltime Permanent
The Opportunity
Our client school in Milan is seeking a passionate dedicated and motivated Visual Arts Teacher to join its growing Middle and High School team from September 2025.
The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge and a proven ability to combine academic rigour with creative expression. Experience with experiential projectbased learning and familiarity with IB programmes is highly desirable. Nativelevel English proficiency is essential.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Visual Arts and Art History in English

Design and deliver engaging inclusive lessons that reflect the schools commitment to inquirybased and global learning

Contribute to the schools extracurricular programme and cultural activities

Create a positive classroom culture that encourages expression participation and student voice

Assess student progress and maintain accurate records in line with school policies

Contribute to curriculum planning and development

Actively support the schools mission and promote its values within the learning community

Participate in ongoing professional development and school growth initiatives

Supervise students and contribute to the wider life of the school
Candidate Profile
Qualifications:
-
Masters Degree in Art or a related field
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent international teaching qualification

Certified to teach at Secondary level
Experience & Skills:
-
Prior experience teaching Middle and High School students

Familiarity with IB programmes (MYP/DP) is a strong advantage

Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
-
Nativelevel English (or C2 proficiency); Italian language skills are a plus

Effective communication collaboration and leadership abilities

Commitment to safeguarding inclusion and student wellbeing

Experience in international or bilingual school settings preferred
