21stCentury OutofSchool TimeNurseRN / LPN Summer2025
The21stCentury OutofSchool TimeNurseis a critical figure in maintaining the safety and wellbeing of all participants insummercamp programs. Their responsibilities include overseeing the nursing and health needs of schoolage students duringsummerschool hours. By providing essential medical support they contribute to a positive and secure camp experience for everyone involved.
Qualifications:
Must hold a Massachusetts RN/LPN License and have a current CPR/AED certification;
Previous experience in the area of support is preferred;
Preference will be given to staff members currently employed as a nurse in FPS;
Applicants must commit to being present for the full duration of the program.
Responsibilities:
The21stCenturySummerNursewill:
Be responsible for nursing and health needs of schoolage students during summer school hours including any medication distribution and emergency first aid for onsite and Field Trips;
Organize a daily schedule to provide services at one school site Field Trips must attend as scheduled;
Maintain appropriate records;
Communicate with families;
Communicate with the summer Director and Coordinator;
Other duties as assigned.
Programplanning and development:April 28 2025 June 30 2025 NTE 10 hours
Orientation:Tuesday June:00 am11:00 pm Location TBD
All Staff Meeting Training and Planning:Wednesday June:30 am2:30 pm Location TBD
SummerProgramSchedule:
Monday July 7 2025 to Thursday July 31 2025 (MonThurs 4weekprogram)
Hours:8:002:00
Allprogramhours must be during outofschool time. All duties must be performed during noncontractual hours.
Multiple positions available; dependent upon a number of student participants.
Total Compensation:Not To Exceed (NTE) 106 hours RN $60/hr LPN $40/hr Not To Exceed (NTE): $6360.00. This amount includes allprogramtime as well as all prep and wrapup required. Stipends require a Request for Payment form OR Time Sheets to be submitted after the assignment.
