The PreK Instructional Coach role is an integral part of the Academics team ensuring curriculum implementation teacher and leader development and datadriven decision making in supporting improved student achievement. The starting salary range for this role is $94082$103984. This is a fulltime onsite role based at KIPP DC campuses with an anticipated start date of July 1 2025.

About the RoleIn this critical role youll be responsible for developing the content knowledge and pedagogical skills for educators at KIPP DC. Youll leverage your content and instructional expertise to build trusting relationships with leaders and teachers to drive academic achievement for all KIPP DC students.Location and Type of WorkThis is an exempt position and will report to the Deputy Chief of SchoolsEarly Childhood Schools.
As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for inperson support which requires this position to be fully onsite. This role is currently required to be onsite or in schools during regular work hours.ResponsibilitiesTeacher Development (60% of the time)- Develop teacher content knowledge and pedagogical skills through highquality professional development and coaching.
- Facilitate teachers data analysis to drive instruction and meet the needs of all learners.
- Provide focused real time coaching to teachers to improve teaching and learning.
Leader Collaboration (20% of the time)- Collaborate with school leaders to align teacher development
- Participate in school walkthroughs to conduct observations provide feedback and develop coaching plans.
- Communicate priorities progress updates and critical information weekly.
Program Implementation (15% of the time)- Maintain expertise in Tools of the Mind curriculum standards and assessments.
- Oversee the implementation of multitiered curriculum and intervention.
- Analyze student and teacher data to inform coaching instruction and continuous improvement.
- Design and facilitate differentiated and datainformed professional development.
- Collaborate with the instructional coaching team to internalize curriculum problem solve and plan for development.
Requirements & PreferencesRequired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of two years of coaching experience required
- Minimum of five years of lead teaching experience with a minimum of one year in early childhood education (PK3 through Kindergarten)
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree
- School leadership experience
- Content knowledge of Tools of the Mind curriculum
Physical Requirements
