We are seeking a recognized industry expert to lead and grow our Bridge Design services in the Colorado market as the Director of Structures.
Well leverage your credibility and relationships in Colorado as you navigate the markets unique nuances to drive growth and maximize market penetration. Youll balance proven team management and project leadership experience with market expertise and confident communication. Your ability to develop strategic client partnerships will enhance our service offerings while maintaining and extending our client base. And youll comfortably collaborate across business units and practice areas to ensure staff and company success.
What You Will Do
- Identify and pursue strategic partnership business development and individual project opportunities.
- As the Director you will lead a team performing bridge design and other structural design for a wide variety of clients including cities counties state and private entities.
- You will use innovative approaches to provide our clients with efficient designs focused on quality.
- Lead contract negotiations and prepare detailed scope of services estimate fees and establish budgets for potential projects.
- Manage strategic pursuits and projects.
- Provide team management and program leadership for the team including talent acquisition and staff development.
- Explore suggest respond to and track upcoming projects and programs.
- Monitor backlog pipeline and opportunity management within a CRM environment.
- Analyze financial performance and direct activities to improve performance results.
What We Require
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or comparable field
- Ability to effectively influence in a crossfunctional environment.
- The successful candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of 10 years work experience of bridge and related structural design.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado
- Candidate should be familiar with LRFD design procedures bridge design software calculation software such as Microsoft Excel or MathCAD possess basic drawing skills in either Microstation or AutoCAD and have proven engineering design experience. Excellent technical communication and organizational skills are required.
- An eagerness both to lead and share knowledge with and mentor less experienced staff as well as to learn from more experienced engineers and technicians is essential for success in this position.
- Certification as a Bridge Safety Inspection Team Leader preferred but not required.

- Strong understanding of the marketplace from pricing and budget standpoint.
