Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a CSW Social Worker on a 2month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 26.55 36.51 per Hour
Summary:
This is a specialist role supporting individuals who experience substance and/or alcohol misuse alongside complex health and social care needs. Youll work directly with adults in recovery or struggling to access mainstream services using strengthsbased and personcentred approaches to drive meaningful outcomes and promote wellbeing.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake holistic assessments of adults with substance misuse issues identifying care and support needs.
- Develop implement and review tailored care plans that enhance independence recovery and wellbeing.
- Engage hardtoreach individuals and provide outreach support where needed.
- Support service users postrehabilitation to address any outstanding social care needs.
- Collaborate with partners across adult social care mental health housing and substance misuse services.
Qualifications:
- A Professional Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
Experience Required:
- Experience working with adults affected by substance misuse or alcohol dependency.
- Knowledge of harm reduction motivational interviewing and relapse prevention (Desirable).
- Experience in safeguarding vulnerable adults and managing risk.
- Proven ability to engage with service users who may be difficult to reach.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple professional boundaries.

- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
