JOB SUMMARY:
The Electrical Technician is responsible for assembling various components of assemblies/subassemblies of various heavyduty vehicles based on detailed instructions. The Electrical Technician must also exhibit strong leadership and communication skills to effectively direct other team members and communicate with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize proper tools to align drill and secure components with correct bolts and torque specifications.
- Understand the basic functions of standard industry electrical test/calibration equipment.
- Read and understand electrical blueprints.
- Ability to perform all required assembly operations in designated work area.
- Ability to interact with customers and customer representatives in a professional manner consistent with company practices.
- Ability to direct work activities of other associates in designated work area and provide detailed instructions related to assembly tasks.
- Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills in related work area.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Regular attendance required.
- All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year or more related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Oneyear certificate from college or technical school.
- One year or more supervisory experience.
- Demonstrate experience using various power and pneumatic tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of common business software platforms and programs.
OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Sense of sound is required.
- Sense of balance is required.
- Limb and finger dexterity is required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform twisting turning bending climbing pushing and pulling motions.
- Ability to lift at least 80lbs.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)steeltoe shoes safety glasses vest.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions will be inside and outside where temperatures will vary from extreme heat to extreme cold for extended periods of time. This position is regularly exposed to vibration and loud noises.
