PG 11 $53217.00 This is a career ladder position.
This position isresponsible for shortterm and longterm crisis intervention of victims ofcrimes determining their needs and assisting victims in acquiring necessaryassistance.
Applicantsmust have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence ineach of the following areas. Failure in any one area will result in a rating ofnot qualified.
Knowledgeof crisis intervention and casework management methods and of human behavior. Knowledge of proper telephonetechniques. Knowledge of computer functions with Word and Accesssoftware. Ability to learn Delaware State Police procedures for dealingwith victims/survivors of violent crimes. Knowledge of services availablethrough governmental agencies and community based organizations. Abilityto establish and maintain effective relationships with people in highlystressful or traumatized conditions. Skill in conducting interviewsoften of a sensitive nature. Ability to be oncall 24 hours a day duringassigned on call rotation. (approximately one week per month)
Bachelorsdegree in psychology or related field and one year of experience in crisisintervention.
Career Ladder: Upon satisfactory completion of Departmentpromotional standards and minimum qualifications employee will be eligible tobe promoted to the next level.

This position is coveredby a collective bargaining agreement based on its individual terms.
