The Opportunity:
The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University (WSU) invites candidates to apply for their Program Assistant vacancy. As the Program Assistant you will perform a variety of complex and unique duties associated with public media programs involving membership relations administration and gift accounting for Northwest Public Broadcasting (NWPB). These duties include but are not limited to assisting the principles in the areas of membership outreach and major donors relation with the administration and cooordination in functions such as: quantitative and qualitative reporting; membership data entry; member and listener correspondence; customer service for members donors listeners viewers and the general public; special event planning support; donation data entry; cash handling; and purchasing.

This is a fulltime (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
Monthly Salary: $3239 to $4299 Range 37 Steps A M
Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 35728.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of fulltime clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Customer service experience which included telephone or reception duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the field of development or charitable giving.
Experience with Allegiance software.
One (1) year cash handling experience.
Experience processing credit card transactions.
