Our client a respected and progressive midsize boutique public accounting firm in Halifax is seeking a Staff Accountant. This is a permanent position best suited to someone who finds satisfaction in their daytoday work and values consistency and stability in a teamoriented mindful work setting.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Review engagements
- Notice to Reader
- Corporate personal and trust tax return preparation
- Complex accounting research
- Ad hoc client projects
- Client accounting
- Client meetings and enquiry management
- Other related activities in support of clients and the Partners
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Postsecondary education in accounting
- Proficiency with CaseWare and professional tax software is strongly preferred
- Prior experience within a public accounting environment is an asset
- Strong financial and analytical comprehension and problem solver
- Proactive and client service oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with team members
