Working handson with both municipal and industrial fire departments the Ferrara/KME team thrives on diagnosing departments current apparatus limitations and response needs to custom design the perfect fire apparatus solution that will stand the test of time.

Perform duties to prepare a wide range of logo and lettering designs as part of the manufacturing of large custom special purpose vehicles working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Work from specifications shop orders drawings cover sheets samples and instructions
  • Review material and product requirements. Receive logo requests from customers or any company facilities involving sample hard copy verbal description or only general customer concept.
  • Review and analyze requirements and communicate with designated parties to develop details. Determine probable requirements for considerations such as size color and composition.
  • Produce final artwork for application to vehicles.
  • Check graphics copy to ensure adherence to critical specifications and record production. Complete required documents. Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems.
  • Make periodic inventory analysis cycle count and prepare orders for material and supplies inventory to meet requirements.
  • Communicate data relating to job status.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements (education experience travel physical work environment):

  • Must possess a HS Diploma GED or equivalent
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Strong work ethic / Be a team player
  • Must be able to climb twist bend and stoop.
  • Must have use of hands and be able to work overhead.
  • Must be able to stand squat and grasp.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
