From 11 UK sites our team of nearly 1000 people delivers unique capabilities across space air land sea and cyber for military security and commercial customers across the UK and worldwide.

L3Harris in Tewkesbury is our HQ for our Intelligence & Cyber International division. In the land domain our T7 and T4 multimission robots deliver nextgeneration remote capabilities and uncompromised performance. We design and manufacture worldleading land force protection systems cyber and electromagnetic activities (CEMA) electronic warfare (EW) and encryption capabilities. Our cyber capabilities provide an information advantage in the fields of kinetic conflict cyber warfare force protection and counterterrorism.

TheHead of Strategy and Business Developmentis a key role within the division and the BD Function responsible for supporting the overarching strategy business development opportunity and synergy identification for the three international Intel and Cyber businesses spanning the UK US and Australia across their portfolio including Electronic Warfare Cryptography Cyber MultiSensor Data Fusion and Robotics.

This is a senior role where influence credibility with peers and customers and exceptional networking and leadership skills are required in order to navigate the complexities of a large global defense organisation a matrix structure and diverse technologies.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Be an integral and influential member of the Intel and Cyber team identifying leading and supporting capture activities in both campaigns and opportunities as required.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategy business development and sales aligned to our customer mission(s) across Land Special Forces Cyber Maritime and Air domains.
  • Help deliver the strategy and business plans aligned to the overall division and company growth agenda and be able to increase and cement L3Harriss position as a mission / system integration partner of choice in all our domestic and international regions.
  • Establish and exploit business synergies crossdivision crosssector crosssegment and across key UK and international regions to support transformational growth.
  • Forge and maintain trusted relationships with senior / executive customers and industrial stakeholders (nationally and internationally) within and outside L3Harris and identify and foster key strategic contacts and partnerships for the business / corporation.
  • Provide credible thoughtleadership within the company and across wider industry presenting ideas at applicable events conference industry & political bodies and media channels in order to strengthen the companys profile.
  • Support the business unit Sales and BD teams to meet their orders and pipeline commitments by identifying and exploiting existing and new customers / client relationships complemented by new and disruptive market and solution approaches.
  • Support and maintain L3Harris business development and sales best practice within the division including the application of new tools techniques and innovative approaches that maximise our offers and improve the BD and capture teams effectiveness including the utilisation and delivery of core common processes and tools such as MS Dynamics CRM.
  • Drive and manage BD & Sales information and reports in a timely manner providing key metrics to the business in support of Strategic Plan objectives.

What youll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Security Clearance (ideally DV level)
  • Degree Level Education
  • International experience in the Defence and Security sector
  • Ability to travel predominantly within the UK with occasional overseas opportunities

Due to the nature of our work many our roles require a UK nationality and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
