Job Description:

L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a Lead Training Developer to join the Cost Engineering and Analytics Department (CEAD) within the Systems Engineering organization) and develop parametric cost modeling product lines to enable parametric bidding in our various business units. CEADs mission is to provide robust efficient cost engineering and analytics to key decision makers throughout the opportunity and program life cycle. Successful candidate will work with subject matter experts to develop/deliver technical training for cost estimating and analytics. This position requires attention to detail and followup on all delegated assignments. Partner with engineering teams relevant team members and customer representatives to define the priorities for curriculum/courseware development and to coordinate completion with product release dates. Develop training presentations and lesson plans from engineering documentation compliance and industry requirements application capabilities and interviews with subject matter experts. Organize and streamline course materials that ensure participants have a solid understanding of the business systems tools and the skills needed to operate or maintain their systems in their daytoday responsibilities. Must be able to deliver course materials in a formal classroom setting or virtual environment. CEADs vision is to become a world class centralized cost engineering and analytics organization supporting L3Harris SAS growth to become a top tier Prime exemplified by fully collaborative and crosssegment alignment with respect to parametric cost estimating. As a member of the CEAD Product Line Development Team you will have the responsibility to interface with multiple business areas understand their product and work within our parametric modeling framework to deliver a tracible and reliable process for future parametric bids. This position may be based at any L3Harris location may be fully remote or may be a hybrid of onsite and remote. Occasional travel is required.

Essential Functions:

  • Works under general supervision and will be responsible for the task leadership of one or more key focus areas to include the daily oversight of courseware development activities and interfacing with the integrated project team and customer.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers
  • Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Problems are typically solved through advanced education or past experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver complex topics
  • Some travel required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree (preferably in Engineering or related field) and minimum 9years or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7years of prior relevant experience in process management training and cost estimating. In lieu of a degree a minimum of 13years of prior related experience in process management training and cost estimating
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • 5 years experience in training development and delivery in a technical environment
  • Professional experience implementing training programs using an instructional design methodology
  • Experience in cost estimation and analytics
  • Experience delivering InstructorLed Training
  • Experience working with security and compliance regulations
  • Experience with TruePlanning cost estimating software

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active security clearance is highly preferred
  • Experience with operational knowledge of pursuit and proposal phases and program lifecycles.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Colorado State Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota Vermont and New York State is $86000.00 $159500.00. For California Seattle Washington D.C. Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area the city of Denver Washington State and New York City the salary range for this role is $98500.00 $182500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire schedule type and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
