Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing highquality care to patients and supporting healthcare professionals in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting healthcare professionals in delivering patient care and treatment plans
- Providing personal care to patients including bathing dressing and feeding assistance
- Monitoring and recording patient vital signs and reporting any changes to the healthcare team
- Supporting patients with mobility and transportation needs
- Maintaining a clean and safe healthcare environment
- Communicating effectively with patients families and healthcare professionals
- Adhering to all healthcare protocols including infection control and patient privacy regulations
Qualifications
- Certification or training as a Healthcare Assistant or in an Allied Health field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and compassion for patients and their families
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Understanding of patient safety and infection control practices
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and assist patients when necessary
Daytoday
- Assisting patients with their daily activities
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to support patient care plans
- Ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of patients
- Recording and reporting patient information accurately
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Embracing diversity and promoting an inclusive healthcare environment
