About the Role:

Lambeth Adult Social care is seeking an experienced and dynamic Social Worker to take on the essential role of Safeguarding Adults Lead.

Do you have a particular passion for adult safeguarding work Are you interested in understanding the common themes that occur across the wider multiagency system and in identifying creative solutions to improve our safeguarding responses

The role is part of the Adult Social Care Senior Management team and as the key point of contact in the local authority for all Adult Social Care safeguarding issues you will need to be someone who is organised approachable have an ability to deescalate and contain highly emotive situations and be committed to leading on all areas of adult safeguarding.

As an already experienced Manager you will have a good understanding of safeguarding adults work in practice legislation and complex risk assessment. You will be an expert in safeguarding adults and the mental capacity act and be able to offer clear advice and guidance to the adult social care teams as well as our partners on these areas of practice. You will also be able to develop training and present on these practice areas to individual teams the wider workforce during practice months and all staff webinars and to partners through the Safeguarding Adults Board.

This role is an opportunity to develop your skills in understanding the broader strategic safeguarding issues that affect not only Adult Social Care but our partners such as the Police Hospitals and Mental Health. You will work with the Lambeth Safeguarding Adults Board managing the Board Business Manager and develop good relationships with partners so that there is a culture of enabling whole system solutions to the complex issues that arise.
