Associate Chaplain (Part Time)

The Associate Chaplain of the Department of Spiritual Services will provide excellence in pastoral care to the patients families and staff of Childrens Mercy and will engage in professional and Departmental development to provide best practice in all aspects of care. Offers ministry to patients and families at the bedside that may include but not limited to prayer scripture sacraments and other rituals when requested. Supports patients families and staff at the time of death through care coordination. The Association PRN chaplain role is to assist with the Spiritual Services team 24/7 coverage when another chaplain is out for PTO FMLA or patient care requires extra staffing needs.

• Bachelors Degree The Associate Chaplain will meet the minimum educational requirement of a Bachelors degree and be in pursuit of a Master of Divinity (if not completed) or equivalent related degree. The Associate Chaplain will have taken a minimum of one or two units of Clinical Pastoral Education. The Associate Chaplain will also be in good standing as an ordained or licensed religious leader (or equivalent). and 12 years experience or
• Masters Degree (. preferred)

Our pay ranges are market competitive. Your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

This position is not eligible to work remotely which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Childrens Mercy locations and may not work from home.
