Job Description
Position Summary
The Systems Engineer will be responsible for working in a team environment in support of DartPoints mission critical suite of colocation and managed services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Installation and management of colocation services
- Installation and management of VMware Virtual Machines
- OS and antivirus management
- Full server monitoring and management
- Managed online backup and vaulting
- Support of DartPoints installed customer base
- Member of 24x7 oncall support
- Maintenance of colocation and managed services product suite
- New customer provisioning and services installation
- Mentoring of Network Operations Center support staff
- Maintain a working level of proficiency with all DartPoints services
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail; Reliability in keeping commitments and meeting deadlines
- Sound systems engineering maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Strong Microsoft and/or Linux background certifications preferred
- Proficient with VMware services
- General understanding of IP networking
- Basic understanding of power concepts
