Health and Wellness Practitioner

JOB PURPOSE:

The Health and Wellness Practitioner organizes and implements comprehensive programs and activities to support Endeavors six principles of Wellness for a recovery community in Albuquerque NM. This position will utilize Endeavors wellness model which includes attention to the spiritual economic mindbody knowledge environmental and connectedness needs of clients to coordinate and facilitate wellness services for the members of this community. The goal of this position is to encourage clients to develop a habit of choosing wellness every day.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and oversee wellness programming consistent with the Endeavors Wellness Model for residents of a micro community that is focused on recovery from substance use disorder .
• Promotes wellness initiatives; answers question and collects feedback from participants.
• Collaborates with leadership to identify costeffective wellness programs and incentives.
• In coordination with an integrated care team assesses and analyzes the general physical and mental health needs of the client population.
• Collaboration with external entities for support events opportunities education etc.
• Designs implements and executes plans/programs such as meditation classes support groups (mens womens parents) life skills classes and other activities to support client needs.
• Designs plans and implements classes speakers seminars training and voluntary assessments to promote healthy lifestyles.
• Drafts and maintains accurate confidential records and reports as required to track and assess client participation program incentives costs and benefits to the company.
• Drafts reports and proposals for wellness initiatives and action plans (including costbenefit analyses) for presentation to upper management.
• Provide yoga training mindfulness training theta or reiki training and guide clients through utilization of the equipment in our wellness room.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in public health Social Work Health Education or related field required. Strong preferences for National Wellness Institutes Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) or similar certification

EXPERIENCE: Experience working with individuals in recovery from alcohol or substance use is strongly preferred. Must demonstrate leadership capacity and ability to foster teambuilding and a supportive flexible environment.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employers sole discretion.

LICENSES: Strong preference for National Wellness Institutes Certified Wellness Practitioner (CWP) or similar certification.

VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.

OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
