The Learning Sr. Manager is an active member of the Personnel and Training Management (PTM) Process Centric Team (PCT) who leads or sponsors training initiatives to drive continuous improvement and guides Local Process Owners (LPOs) on operational topics including training issue resolution and inspection related activities. For assigned QMS Processes this role partners with Global Process Owners (GPOs) to ensure learning strategies align with process objectives and business outcomes for both new and revised processes. This includes leading the design developing highquality training materials and roletask based curricula for assignment to colleagues across PGS. This individual also manages global programs ensuring they are built sustained and remain up to date.
Furthermore they will contribute to transforming training in PGS by focusing on performance and business impact supporting cultural change and maintaining compliance with GMP/GDP and QMS requirements.
What You Will Achieve
In this role you will:
- Actively participate in the PTM PCT and work with LPOs to continuously improve the P&TM process to meet changing business needs
- Guide and coach LPOs through operational issue resolution and support inspection management topics that arise. Facilitate cross network sharing of ideas and problem solving.
- Lead or sponsor process improvement network initiatives (inc. business value internal process efficiencies and simplification) through Limited Duration Teams (LDTs).
For assigned Level 2 (L2) QMS Processes
- Partner with Global Process Owners to ensure that learning strategies align with process objectives and business outcomes.
- For new L2 processes collaborate with Global Process Owners and stakeholders to define the most effective learning approach specifically: lead the Learning Needs Assessment (LNA) review and approve final LNA. Update the LNA as required when there is an impact to training when processes are revised.
- Develop or oversee the creation or revision of highquality training materials as determined by the LNA using contemporary instructional design practices ensuring that all materials are aligned with global documents and regulatory requirements and available in required languages.
- For new training assets work with Learning Technology & Solutions (LT&S) colleagues to develop global PLA items and roletask based Curricula.
- Own and communicate the LNA overlay matrix for new or revised L2 processes (visualising all the PLA codes across all languages) to facilitate local training curricula creation and training assignments.
- Work with GPO to develop a transition plan with details and expectations around recognition of prior learning (justifications for Waivers and Substitutes in PLA)
- Facilitate regular feedback sessions with process owners and endusers to refine and improve training assets.
- Develop or update L2 training Programs (e.g. PHP investigator) where required per L2 Process in collaboration with GPO. Leverage existing training materials in the PGS network when possible. Manage effectiveness and seek regular feedback on improvement opportunities.
Global Program Management
- Take ownership of specific global programs by ensuring programs are built and sustained (e.g. ensuring available trainers) and content remains up to date and is fit for purpose.
- Lead a community of practice when applicable and obtain regular feedback from stakeholders on the program.
- Identify effectiveness metrics to ensure it meets the business need and is making an impact on performance.
Transforming Training in PGS
- Actively contribute to a future learning strategy that shifts beyond only learning plans as a deliverable to a focus on performance and business impact.
- Be a change agent and support the business in this shift in learning and the cultural change necessary.
- With the team update the L2 PTM Process to incorporate a future strategy and execute maintaining compliance with GMP/GDP and QMS requirements.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Applicant must have a bachelors degree in education Learning and development instructional design or related fields with at least 6 years of
experience; OR a masters degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR
a PhD with 1 years of experience. - Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of GxP requirements and current hot topics / trends
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Able to work in a network role and has the context of global regional and site needs.
- Continuous improvement mindset and challenges status quo.
- Effective change agent who embraces new ways of working and can influence others on a change journey.
- Can Perform trend analysis and critical thinking to identify remediation and CI opportunities
- Ability to identify risks and need for escalation.
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
- Experience in instructional design human factors & knowledge of the changing Learning & Development landscape across industries.
- Proven ability to design largescale solutions aligned with business priorities
- Strong expertise in learning analytics
- Elearning development experience

Travel up to 10% of the time; flexibility to work off hours as needed to support all regions.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120800.00 to $201400.00.* In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
