Position Title:Guest Services Concierge Pay Range: $18.00 per hour Position Purpose: Provide support for the weekly business development event function for Executive Management; supports Board of Directors and VIP ticket distribution and purchases. Position will report to CEOs Executive Assistant. Essential Functions: - Coordinate RSVPs for business development function
- Assist with hospitality duties during business development dinners and special events as needed.
- Assists with special needs requests such as disabled services or VIP requests.
- Help support the ticket distribution and purchase of tickets for Board Members and VIP guests.
- Help process ticket requests through the OCFEC box office as requested.
- Provide customer service to guests including fair patrons VIP guests and/or Board Members.
- Ensures that guests leave the property with a positive experience.
- Perform clerical work as needed e.g. photocopying mailing returning emails setting up templates using Excel and Google Sheets etc.

- Previous experience in a customer service position preferably working with the public or VIPs required.
- Ability to remain calm and helpful during stressful situations essential.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to respond timely to email phone and text communications outside of normal business hours.
- Must be available to work opening and closing weekend and all Wednesdays and Thursdays during of the annual OC Fair (additional days are flexible).
- Basic computer and software skills e.g. Excel Word and Outlook
- Willingness to work outside the normal business days/hours as demanded by fairtime events and programs.
Preferences: - Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of the layout and facilities of the OC Fair & Event Center highly preferred.
