Job Description

Responsibilities

Supervise the activities of a team of information systems professionals responsible for one or more information systems to ensure that the systems function reliably within the organizations overall systems architecture. Lead the daytoday activities of a team of information systems professionals to ensure that information systems function reliably and meet the organizations business needs. Activities of the team may include developing implementing testing and maintaining a large system or project or several smaller systems or projects. Supervise team members; prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the teams resources are used effectively. Respond to more complex escalated enquiries from team members and check the quality of their work to ensure that systems meet agreed specifications and are consistent with the overall design and architecture of the organizations information systems. Communicate with system users to identify and resolve user problems.

Qualifications

Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a professional or a large and/or moderately complex support/operations team up to Career Professional. May include subordinate work leaders. Has formal supervisor responsibilities; sets priorities for and coaches team members to meet objectives. Decisions are guided by policies procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager. Requires thorough understanding and application of procedures and concepts within own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines.
