Job Description

  • Performs all standard and nonstandard tests related to home and security products.
  • Document all testing results into a standard test report while working with engineers to analyze and interpret data.
  • Operates maintains and troubleshoots test equipment following written or verbal test instructions. Monitors equipment collects data and ensures test specimens operate within the defined specifications.
  • Independently build new test configurations utilizing preexisting core equipment which can be reconfigured to match testing requirements.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the certification and realworld test requirements for plumbing and security related products.
  • Works directly with project engineers and various other team members requiring testing. Provides technical support and service in an independent and timely manner.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools designs test fixtures and fabricates equipment as required for assigned projects.
  • Modifies computer programs required to operate test equipment such as programmable logic controllers.
  • Collaborates and partners with other engineering groups on multidiscipline projects.
  • Mentors and trains others as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor Degree / Technical Career Engineering Technology is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering lab or test environment is required.
  • Experience in product testing preferably consumer products.
  • Familiar with electronic/electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers computer control and data acquisition systems.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must be able to independently manage projects and tasks
