Job Description
Overview:
The Manufacturing Production Supervisor oversees assembly line operations ensuring a safe work environment while achieving daily targets for product quality accuracy and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Assign tasks and prepare schedules to optimize workflow.
- Guide and coach employees while monitoring safety protocols quality standards and productivity goals.
- Promote crosstraining and coordinate task assignments to reduce downtime.
- Approach all duties and coaching with a Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Work with all functions to drive improvements and solve problems.
- Address employee performance issues as needed.
- Operational Oversight:
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records.
- Ensure proper use of equipment and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Verify that all firearm transactions and company transfers are completed accurately and promptly.
- Evaluate and report daily performance metrics in the Daily Production Report.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and monitor quality checks and standards.
- Train employees on processes to meet quality expectations and productivity benchmarks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership skills with a proactive approach to team development.
- Experience in a Continuous Improvement manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of firearms or mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly convey expectations and resolve issues.
- Proficient in basic computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Taskoriented with effective time management skills.
- Collaborative mindset; works well across departments.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
