The Routing and Planning (RaP) organization within the Last Mile Technology (LMT) organization plays a pivotal role in Amazons mission to deliver packages to billions of customers worldwide. Our goal is to create the most efficient reliable and highquality route plans for our drivers while ensuring safe lowtouch and highthroughput solutions for operations. Were challenged to constantly improve and innovate on our routing and planning software to support Amazons promise of fast and reliable deliveries. The technology that are developed by our teams include a wide breadth of solutions from Machine Learning (ML) and Operations Researchbased routing and planning algorithms inhouse maps and navigation platform IoT and hardware innovations doorstep delivery experience and the consumer grade native mobile apps that brings all these experiences together.
Were seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to be a part of our group. In this role you will be the single threaded leader owning programs to deliver complex projects across multiple Director/VP organizations. Responsibilities also include identifying business and tech requirements partnering with various stakeholders writing specifications scoping driving project schedules from design to release and managing the production launch. You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal science operations product and engineering teams. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize timetomarket clearly communicate goals roles responsibilities and desired outcomes to internal crossfunctional and remote project teams. You will own communication through various stages of the product lifecycle.
Key job responsibilities
The right candidate will possess a strong program management background will have demonstrated experience leading large to extralarge projects and will have a wellrounded technical background. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive highlevel strategic initiatives but can also roll up your sleeves dig in and get the job done. As a TPM you will anticipate bottlenecks provide escalation management anticipate and make tradeoffs and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.

5 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience

Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
