Job Description Summary
The Test Technical Leader will provide technical leadership for strategic and tactical deliverables. This role involves partnering with the engineering and program organizations to ensure test programs are executed safely with quality and efficiently. The test technical leader will possess deep knowledge of test processes and a proactive mindset to enable strong collaboration with cross functional teams.
Job Description
- Work collaboratively with engineering and program organizations to set overall testing strategy for certification/qualification programs.
- Support LATO leadership by reviewing customer requirements and highlighting differences/gaps between those requirements and product capabilities for future NPI programs.
- Identify new technologies to better define and conduct testing. This includes developing network with other test sites to bring best practices and lessons learned to LATO.
- Engaging people from other departments divisions and functions to bring about desired organizational change sharing best practices and lessons learned
- Work collaboratively with test and facilities leaders to develop test cell strategy for longterm investment plan and helps execute decisions consistent with business strategy.
- Influencing the direction of the organization through technical perspective and insight
- Influencing the organization through the ability to assess external trends and associated implications for the organizations longterm success
- Increasing the productive capacity of the organization through new ideas work processes systems or technologies
- Develops improvement plans for the NPI process for assigned programs.
- Understands and influences level of challenge and risk (technical schedule cost) on a program.
- Work collaboratively with LATO technical leader to develop technical growth road map for LATO engineers.
- Work collaboratively with test business leader to develop training onboarding and mentorship for test engineers.
- Work collaboratively with test business leader to balance the makeup of the test team to ensure the right skills are in place.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in engine testing
