Project / Program:NYS eMPIRE Tax Imaging System
The candidate will be a guide member of the imaging team which is responsible for developing the shared services and development code generators that are used by all Department of Tax and Finance Applications including maintaining and modernizing our eMPIRE imaging platforms. This system is responsible for processing different programs that bring in billions of dollars in revenue for local governments and New York State. Its solution allows New York State to facilitate better decisionmaking provide increased productivity for employees improve public access and reduce the risk of falling victim to outdated technology.
Day to Day Tasks:
The candidate will be assisting with DTF modernization and finding alternative options/solutions for existing eMPIRE imaging systems utilizing various technologies such as AIX Shell Scripting on the UNIX platform and DB2 skills. The candidate will also be assisting with the multitier architecture design and implementations participating in all phases of the software development life cycle requirement gathering design implementation testing and production support.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Systems Architect Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e. a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement including a breakdown of the system into components the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment especially the user) and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
Expert 84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Requested Qualifications:
84 months experience with government organization which includes business knowledge technical design development maintenance and end user support of complete BusinessRelated Processing.
84 months of experience in UNIX and AIX OS with usage of Shell Scripting and CRON TAB.
48 months of experience of IBM Content Manager On Demand application including IBM Content Manager OnDemand Administrator and Client.
84 months of experience in performance tuning applications interacting with DB2 Databases.
