Location: Luzianne Tea Manufacturing Plant at 5601 Chef Menteur Highway New Orleans LA 70126
2nd Shift Hours:MondayThursday 2:30pm1:00am
Job Summary:OurProduction Line Operatorsare responsible for safely operating production equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.
- Operates production equipment efficiently according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food/employee safety requirements and guidelines to meet daily labor and waste goals as planned and driven by management
- Utilizes Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime perform quality compliance documents and communicate with support functions
- Completes change overs for their assigned equipment and/or production line
- Learns and maintains customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality
- Reads and follows instructions regarding daily expectations requirements or specifications
- Accurately completes all quality traceability and production paperwork
- Reports any product deficiencies food or safety concerns to supervisor
- Performs minor equipment adjustments to ensure equipment is operating optimally
- Maintains a clean and sanitary workstationassists with product change overs and ensures all tools are accounted for
- Ensures the operation is providing foodsafe quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of machine operating/production experience preferred
- Technical skills include the ability to start and stop equipment complete a changeover and operate one piece of equipment
- Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication good time management skills and the ability to follow rules and directions
- Leadership skills include a positive attitude being a team player and selfleadership
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed to meet business demand
