TDC is a residential facility located in Northwest Ohio. We support youth aged 1017 and adults with developmental disabilities. We have a large rural campus which provides opportunities for our residents to be active in addition to being part of our community. Our direct care staff and nurses provide 24/7 care to the individuals who call TDC home. We focus on support and stabilization so our individuals can integrate into an environment that best meets their wants and needs.
About the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Tiffin Developmental Center:
The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is a trauma informed care agency. We offer a statewide system of supportive services that focuson ensuring health and safety supporting access to community participation and increasing opportunities for meaningful employment. Tiffin Developmental Center is located in the northwest regionof Ohio and is home to both adults and youth with developmental disabilities.
What you will do as a Maintenance Repair Worker 2:
The Maintenance Department plays a key role in maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. We have an 80 acre main campus consisting of 6 residential buildings various support buildings and outdoor spaces. Example duties include:
- Carpentry
- Minor electrical
- Minor plumbing
- Grounds keeping (i.e. mowing landscape maintenance snow removal)
- Concrete work
- Painting
- Delivery
This is a fulltime (40 hours per week) position. Working hours are 9:00AM to 5:30PM with an unpaid 1/2 hour meal break. This position is scheduled to work every 3rd weekend.

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading writing & speaking common English vocabulary; 6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in maintenance repair work (e.g. basic electricity plumbing carpentry masonry repair & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment); in accordance with section 124.11 (B) (2) of revised code Director Of Administrative Services has determined this classification to be unskilled labor class & therefore exempt from written examination.
