About the branch:
The Property Assessment and Taxation Branch provides all Yukon taxing authorities with property assessments and levies taxes in accordance with the general property tax rates as established by Yukon Government property taxation authority for all areas outside municipalities. The branch administers several funding programs for rural and municipal property owners including the Domestic Water Well Program and the Rural Electrification and Telecommunications Program and the Better Buildings program.
