Under the direction of the Principal of Special Education and Student Services. The Itinerant Educational Assistant (CDA) supports the implementation of strategies and/or an action plan developed by team members in collaboration with school staff.
Required Qualifications Experience Knowledge and Skills:
Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma;
two years of related work experience;
the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
initiative judgment and discretion;
And excellent interpersonal organizational and communication skills and flexibility to adapt to a variety of challenges.
Individuals must possess a valid Drivers license a reliable vehicle and a willingness to travel
In addition the following will be considered an asset:
knowledge of and experience in supporting elementary and high school students with socialemotional learning needs speech and language delays augmentative and alternative communication needs Autism Spectrum disorders and behavioural challenges;
experience in developing materials and resources modeling interventions and strategies educational coaching and current educational and augmentative and alternative communication technologies;
Experience developing and providing professional development to a varied educational and clinical audience;
collection of data for therapeutic progress monitoring ;
the ability to provide input and feedback to the Speech Language Pathologist regarding set therapy goals ;
Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
This is a 10month temporary position with an annual salary range of $49117 to $52809 .
The effective date is September 2 2025 to June 25 2026
