Job Description

Description

The opportunity:

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Consultant Environmental Management to join the team supporting major infrastructure projects across the South Coast Region. Based at a busy site office on the Gold Coast youll provide expert advice ensure environmental compliance and contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery.

The work is with a key client where you will represent NGH and provide inhouse environmental management and planning advice to our client

This is a fulltime 12month opportunity offering the chance to work closely with a passionate team.

  • Assess and manage environmental risks across a range of infrastructure projects

  • Monitor works compliance and ensure all activities meet legislative and contractual obligations

  • Provide clear timely advice to project teams consultants and contractors

  • Undertake site visits and assessments to support project delivery

  • Promote best practice environmental management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Maintain accurate project records and support a strong safety culture



Skills And Experiences

We will be looking for candidates with the following attributes:

Ideally you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science Environmental Management or a related field

  • Strong knowledge of environmental management and risk management practices

  • Experience supporting road/civil constructionprojects in the South Coast Region

  • Experience working within or adjacent to National Parks

  • Knowledge of the planning and approvals framework

  • Ability to complete environmental assessments and review consultant reports with attention to detail

  • Confident communicator able to engage effectively with project teams contractors and stakeholders

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Proactive approach to problemsolving and continuous improvement

  • Current drivers licence and willingness to travel for site visits as required

You will also be a team player and have strong communication and interpersonal skills
