Science Service Sustainability
Under direct supervision the Stakeholder Engagement Associate will work with the Director of Collaborative Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives to assist with planning facilitating and reporting of stakeholder engagement initiatives.

Job Duties:
  • Assist with planning coordinating and hosting external stakeholder meetings and events.
  • Develop communication tools (i.e. webbased StoryMaps presentation materials social media) which further the goals of collaborative partnerships community and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work with bureaus and leadership to identify and track accountability measures outcomes and best practices of advisory groups stakeholder meetings and related partnershipdriven events.
  • Continue learning and strengthening facilitation skills by connecting with multibureau staff and external partners. Assist with documentation and followup as needed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A high school diploma and experience in environmental health programs or radiological health.

A bachelors degree in the natural or physical sciences mathematics public health engineering or a related technical field may be substituted for the required work experience.

Note: Degrees in a related technical field include but are not limited to Earth sciences chemistry biology physics soil science environmental science mathematics etc.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience with collaborative partnerships and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to make presentations in a group setting; communicate clearly and concisely in both an oral and written manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment and encourage positive working relationships with coworkers industry environmental interest groups and government officials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A masters degree in the natural or physical sciences* or related technical field and one year of environmental health or related experience.
  • A bachelors degree in the natural or physical sciences* or related technical field and two years of environmental health or related experience.
  • An associate degree in the natural or physical sciences* or related technical field and four years of environmental health or related experience.
  • A high school diploma and six years of environmental health or related experience.
