FACILITIES COORDINATOR Laboratory for Nuclear Science reporting to the Administrator for HR EHS and Facilities will oversee all facilities and safetyrelated issues for LNS; serve as client representative and liaison for all renovation and improvement projects; oversee safety and security; plan and oversee improvements in systems and acts as liaison to MITs Facilities; ensure efficient daily functioning of building systems and noncomputer equipment; and oversee maintenance and upkeep of all LNSoccupied space.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience; a minimum of three years of work experience in the area of building systems facilities construction and/or project management preferably in a research/academic setting; ability to use computers and a solid foundation in Microsoft Office and database systems; experience working with contractors/architects/facilities professionals; valid drivers license and the ability to lift 50 pounds; outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with a large and diverse population including faculty research technical and administrative staff students Facilities staff architects and contractors; ability to manage multiple concurrent projects; excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a contributing team member; and demonstrated experience managing multiple stakeholder projects independently from start to finish.
