Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a qualified dedicated highly motivated and resultsdriven Compressor Sales Associate Manager to play a pivotal role in advancing the compressor sales plan for the Americas region. Reporting to the Sr. Manager Compressor Sales you will be responsible for promoting and expanding the sales of Mitsubishis OEM Compressors to manufacturers in the USA market driving revenue and profit growth with a specific focus on penetrating the Unitary HVAC sector. This role involves developing and executing Sales Strategies and building longterm customer relationships presenting the technical attributes of our OEM Compressor lineup identifying new sales opportunities supporting the preparation of Sales Budget goals and coordinating with various stakeholders within Mitsubishi Compressor Plants in Asia.

The ideal candidate has a passion for helping others and a drive for providing exceptional customer service has deep experience with the entire sales process excelling at lead generation relationship building and deal closing. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Mitsubishis Compressor sales in the USA region with a particular focus on the Unitary HVAC market. The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Sales Plan Development: Collaborate with the Sr. Sales Manager leading and analyzing data to assist in the formulation and monitoring of the comprehensive compressor sales plan for the USA region. Track sales metrics and report on monthly sales performance providing insights to improve and measure sales effectiveness.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop individual sales and profit plans for each customer.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships to foster loyalty to Mitsubishi by articulating the technical attributes and benefits of our OEM compressor range identifying innovative applications for Mitsubishi compressors in customers products and efficiently addressing inquiries and requirements from customers engineering and procurement teams. Liaise with customers throughout the presentation testing selection and sales processes.

  • Global Coordination: Oversee and track Communicate and coordinate frequent communication with Mitsubishi compressor factories in Thailand China and Japan regarding manufacturing volumes lead times pricing and future product roadmaps to ensure that corporate goals are being met.
  • Sales Meetings: Conduct sales meetings discuss budgets and coordinate sales plans with the Global Compressor Marketing department in Tokyo and directly with Mitsubishi compressor factories establishing realistic and challenging targets for the team to achieve.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing teams at both Mitsubishi Electric US and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation in Japan preparing monthly business intelligence reports helping to promote and support compressor sales opportunities. Liaise closely with Mitsubishi logistics departments to ensure the timely import storage and delivery of customer inventory.
  • LongTerm Technology Road Map: Collect organize and present customers feedback to Mitsubishi design engineers in terms of future technical requirements and expectations.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Analyze competitors data to identify threats trends and opportunities related but not limited to product pricing place promotion etc.
  • Travel: Be prepared to travel up to 50% both domestically and internationally as necessary meeting with current and potential clients to grow longlasting relationships.
  • Assist in margin analysis and quote issuance based on pricing as determined by the Sr. Manager Compressor Sales by using financial techniques to improve sales revenue.
  • Review Sales Contracts Supply Agreements and NonDisclosure Agreements to ensure they meet Mitsubishis Legal and Corporate guidelines.
  • Coordinate business trips to and from Mitsubishi Plants for customers and their guests.
  • Positively represent the company in Business Association meetings and Trade Show events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Engineering bachelors degree (Mechanical Engineering is preferred) Background in business (Sales Project Management Marketing or Finance) or related and relevant field experience.
  • 3 years of sales experience in HVAC or related field selling to OEM customers.
  • Strong technical acumen to effectively convey the benefits of our OEM compressor lineup.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with team members clients and other stakeholders.
  • Selfmotivated with a resultsoriented mindset able to address challenges and find creative solutions.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively within a dynamic sales team.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple complex projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fundamental MS Office skills (Word Excel PowerPoint).

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $80000 and $110000/year; however base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
