Job Description

What Youll Do:

As a Legal Intern you will be responsible for performing a variety of complex legalrelated tasks under the direction of Foxen attorneys. You will also have the opportunity to interact directly with and provide support to multiple business departments. Our ideal candidate has a positive attitude and is energized by new challenges and opportunities for accelerated learning and growth.
The position will be for 40 hours/week and run approximately from midMay until midAugust. The position may be extended into the school year on a parttime basis depending on the Interns performance and Foxens business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Review revise and draft commercial agreements to align with companys strategic vision evolving risk environments and shifts in transactional priorities.
    • Conduct legal research in a wide variety of areas to solve unique legal challenges arising out of Foxens product and service offerings including property and casualty insurance; consumer credit reporting; landlordtenant law; and data security and privacy.
    • Provide assistance in a wide range of inhouse legal matters relating to corporate governance compliance employment law and litigation.
    • Provide administrative support to the Legal & Compliance Department as needed.
    • Assist with management of other Legal & Compliance Department projects and deliverables as requested.

What You Bring:

    • Enrolled in a Juris Doctor program with a strong academic record.
    • A rising 3L is preferred but will consider a rising 2L if the candidate demonstrates that he or she would be a great fit.
    • Must have a penchant for learning new things curiosity in diverse areas of law and business and an open mind to take on new challenges in a fastpaced environment.
    • High level of professionalism in daytoday work and in all client interactions is mandatory.
    • Selfmotivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership to complete tasks in areas of responsibility.

Located in the heart of the Arena District in Downtown Columbus Ohio our corporate office overlooks Huntington Park the home of the Columbus Clippers.
