Job Description

The Faribault Woolen Mill is a 157yearold living testament to American craftsmanship producing fine woolens renowned for their comfort and quality. Reborn in 2011 our fine wool blankets throws scarves and accessories are found in the finest home and fashion stores all over the country. Position Overview:

If you enjoy working as part of a team we have an opportunity that could be intriguing to you. We take wool; manufacture it into beautiful products that everyone loves to enjoy for many years. This role would be helping to support our weaving department seeing the products and materials being made into our oneofakind products. We work with both stateoftheart looms while also utilizing those machines that have been in our facility for many years. Every day is different based on the equipment we use the design of the products or the people you work with.

This would be a role that would require you to work with machines equipment and your hands having a highattention to detail and accuracy of the end product being produced. We are a team that works together and will do what is needed to support the full production team from start to finish when we are called upon to do what is needed so if you are a team player and want to grow develop skills and be part of a team that creates beautiful and unique products come join us!

Core Responsibilities:

  • Adjusting equipment based on the design and production needs
  • Working with various sizes of small yarns and moving parts
  • Learn to work the looms without additional support or supervision
  • Performs work independently while willing to support a team
  • Manage to daily and weekly production numbers for the team to achieve
  • Willing to take daily direction on workload and projects to be completed
  • Ability to work quickly but ensure high quality of end product
  • Report damage or faulty equipment to management when needed
  • Support overall production in various work areas as leadership and supervisors see need and are assigned
  • Perform quality control functions to ensure product is meeting expectations

Required skills:

  • Strong attention to detail natural curiosity and drive for accuracy
  • Ability to follow technical specifications and work orders
  • Needs to be organized selfstarter and able to prioritize effectively
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to be on your feet and work with your hands for 10 hour shifts
  • Ability to lift 3550 pounds from the floor to waist high level

Qualifications:

  • High School or GED some college preferred
  • 03 years experience in a manufacturing environment or production experience preferred
  • General use of MS Office programs including Word and Excel
