As a Senior Quality Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of TCGplayers PointofSale product through rigorous testing and quality assurance practices. You will be uplifting legacy applications into a microservice based architecture using the latest and greatest technologies. You will work closely with other development teams to bring a cohesive and intuitive selling experience to our customers across TCGplayers suite of tools. Due to the criticality of pointofsale software to a sellers business your role on this team is especially impactful. What you will accomplish:
Build a bestinclass Point Of Sale system for Local Game Stores used by thousands of customers domestically and internationally allowing them to profitably grow their business in an omnichannel environment.
Write automated tests to ensure the functionality performance and security of the platform.
Collaborate with developers product managers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and implementation.
Identify document and track defects working with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
Mentor and guide junior quality engineers promoting best practices in testing and quality assurance.
Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in quality assurance practices.
What you will bring:
Relevant Bachelors Degree and 7 years of relevant industry or Relevant Masters Degree plus 4 years of relevant industry or 11 years of practical experience.
Handson development experience in one or more backend objectoriented programming languages (preferably C# and TypeScript)
Experience automating testing of REST API and Kafka contracts
Experience with testing frameworks like Playwright
Experience with Contract Testing (using Pact)
Experience with event processing mechanisms such as Kafka
Experience with automating tests (load API integration functional) within CI/CD pipelines
Experience with load testing preferably with JMeter and/or BlazeMeter
Excellent verbal and written communication leadership and collaboration skills
