Job Description
ABOUT US:
BEHAVIORAL ASSESSMENT:
Rates are determined based on experience and tenure. The pay range for Apprentices (1st to 4th year) and Journeypersons (1st to 4th year) is $25.95 to $51.89 per hour (depending on supplemental rates/premiums).
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI):
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE & OPERATIONAL DUTIES (Weighting 60%)
System Design Installation and Maintenance
- Design and installation of welded threaded and/or brazed refrigeration piping systems.
- Conduct startups inspections troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for refrigeration and compression systems resolving system issues as needed.
- Interpret blueprints schematic drawings and manufacturer instructions to independently construct assemble and install equipment.
Problem Resolution
- Troubleshoot refrigeration electrical control systems and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform all work in compliance with the Quality Control and Health & Safety program.
- Take on additional duties as required to support job functions.
SERVICE EXCELLENCE (Weighting 40%)
CustomerFocused Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism competence and integrity.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reports to facilitate prompt invoicing and support customer and company needs.
Teamwork and Safety
- Prioritize workplace safety by adhering to all safety protocols and fostering a secure environment for colleagues and clients.
- Collaborate effectively within a teamoriented environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered with Apprenticeship Industry Training (AIT) as a third/fourthyear apprentice (Refrigeration) or Journeyman certification or equivalent in HVAC refrigeration mechanics.
- Basic computer skills required (MS Office Applications)
- Class A Gas Fitting is an asset
- Strong customer service and relationshipbuilding skills.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through onthejob training.
- Class 5 Drivers License with a clean Drivers Abstract
- Ability to work independently and oncall.
- Ability to work out of town. Travel and overnight stays may be required from time to time.
