Position Summary:
The Systems Analyst is responsible for performing daily activities such as data extraction for migrations sales engineering and Health Data Archiver (HDA) support tasks. This position is an inoffice inperson or hybrid role if local to South Bend or remote if not local to South Bend.
Primary Responsibilities:
Connect remotely to customer machines to analyze database document and system structures of an application
Provide Health Data Archiver (HDA) application support as needed by customers
Ensure that information is shared with the appropriate staff in a timely manner
Collaborate with Data Integration Specialists to ensure data that is necessary to complete a given project is available
Act as a technical resource for the Project Management team
Assist the Manager of Systems Analysis in daytoday tasks around data prep and miscellaneous tasks
Perform deep analysis of systems contained in multiple applications and platforms
Extract data from multiple application types and platforms and load it into HHITs preferred database engine MS SQL Server
Perform file transfers and move data to and from customers via secure FTP or external encrypted hard drives
ODBC OLE DB driver and linked server configuration
Assist in the care and maintenance of department facilities equipment and supplies
Participating in committees as requested
Complete other jobrelated assignments and special projects as directed
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
Strong problem solving and analysis skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Familiarity with SSIS visual studio basic data structures PowerShell bash or batch scripting and one or more computer languages a plus
Familiarity with MS SQL server imports and linked servers
Knowledge of structured query language
Familiarity with OS: Windows Unix Linux AS400
General database structure knowledge
Familiarity with ETL processes
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of databases and flat file systems
Excellent time management skills
Working knowledge of various DBMS platforms (i.e. Informix DB2 Sybase Oracle etc.)
Team player
Drive to complete project work on time
Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Experience with file transfer protocol
Other:
Willing and ready to exemplify HHITs core values on a daily basis
Responsible for protecting data entrusted to HHIT by customers or other parties by strictly adhering to HHITs data security and privacy policies and procedures as well as HIPAA PIPEDA and all other applicable law.
Speaking and writing English is a requirement for this position
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
