Job Description
Technical Accounting Manager Healthcare Industry
A leading missiondriven healthcare organization is looking to add a Technical Accounting Manager to their growing corporate finance team. This is a highimpact role supporting technical accounting policy development and complex transactions across a large multientity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead preparation of whitepapers and memos on areas like consolidation impairments joint ventures contingencies and unique transactions
- Own and maintain the enterprisewide accounting policy library (FASB and GASB standards)
- Research new accounting guidance and provide recommendations for implementation
- Support M&A activity audits HSR filings and special projects
- Help train internal stakeholders on technical accounting concepts
- Establish a quarterly accounting certification process to ensure policy compliance across all entities
Qualifications:
- CPA required
- 5 years of experience in technical accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (FASB and/or GASB) and experience in a large complex organization
- Skilled at researching accounting guidance and translating it into policy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across functions
- Healthcare experience is a plus but not required
