The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is the states lead division serving people with disabilities committed to diversity equity inclusion accessibility and racial justice The mission of the Division is to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals of employment education and independent living. This position develops and delivers training consistent with the rules policies and laws governing the Divisions programs for administrative and field office staff and delivers training using a variety of accessible instructional techniques and modalities. The Division of Rehabilitation Services is seeking to hire an organized and energetic individual with excellent communication skills to serve as a trainer for the Division of Rehabilitation Services.
Serves as a trainer for the Division of Rehabilitation Services.
Develops and documents processes and procedures to ensure a suitable standard of learning for the purpose and outcomes of the Divisions training strategies.
Manages learning resources to support sustainability of curriculum to support the Divisions programs and training needs.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college. Academic course work should include quantitative measures (introductory statistics or business mathematics or social science analytical tools) educational methods psychology of individuals organizational or group behavior labor relations or equivalents.
Requires two (2) years of professional experience in education or a related field.
Two (2) years of professional experience providing training in a clear and concise manner and in various accessible formats to ensure comprehension of material.
Two (2) years of professional experience assessing employees training needs and developing curriculum in a public or private organization.
Two (2) years of professional experience working with federal and state requirements for a direct service program for individuals with disabilities in a public or private organization.
One (1) year of professional experience evaluating the effectiveness of training programs making recommendations and implementing changes.
One (1) year of professional experience researching learning trends techniques and technology to enhance training programs and prepare quality content for participants.
One (1) year of professional experience working with software packages such as Microsoft Outlook Access Excel Word and PowerPoint preparing reports and presentations in a variety of accessible formats for various audiences.
Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties with overnight stays as appropriate.
