Finance & Insurance Manager

Summary: This position sells new and used car buyers financing and insurance programs. F&I managers also work with financial lenders to give fair interest rates to buyers and programs. As with all positions within dealerships F&I managers are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.
Essential Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): The primary duties consist of but are not limited to the following.
Offering vehicle financing and insurance to customers and providing them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
Seeking new lending institutions and maintaining good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs.
Processing financing and leasing deals accurately and securing approval through financial sources to secure approval and through the proper federal state and corporate channels.
Understanding and complying with federal state and local regulations that affect the new and usedvehicle and finance departments.
Creating and maintaining a program with the sales department that will ensure all new sales are referred to the F&I department.
Training and providing the sales team with information on finance and lease programs and the benefits of the dealerships financing and extended service programs.
Must have the ability to report for work on time follow directions interact effectively with coworkers understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education High school diploma or college degree or equivalent experience in finance is preferred plus two years of automotive sales experience and one year in a dealership management position.
Must maintain the profitability of their department while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Must understand and keep abreast of the federal state and local regulations that affect operations.
Must have strong communication skills in order to work with customers employees and finance and insurance vendors.
Must be able to work extended hours evenings holidays and weekends.
Must demonstrate the ability to read write and communicate the English language.
Valid Drivers License and proof of insurance are required.
Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass an MVR and background check.
Physical & Mental Demands: The following physical and mental demands consist of but are not limited to the following.
Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods of time (at desk while driving and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment
Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
Ability to bend pull stoop and reach to perform functions
Ability to lift 2530 lbs.
May be exposed to heat fumes noise and humidity etc.
Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Visual acuity to read documents computer screens files etc.
Ability to hear in person and via phone
