Job Description

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our clients logistics challenges.

The Pricing Specialist will oversee and administer the country pricing strategy. In addition the Pricing Specialist will engage in competitive intelligence collect and analyzes information on market trends and conditions will gauge anticipated demand and uses the information to recommend and develop strategies.

The Pricing Specialist will work closely with the operations and sales functions to ensure alignment on pricing strategy and market rates.

The Pricing Specialist will engage closely with relevant product owners on a local and regional level.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Processing of local regional and global tenders in the field of air and sea freight as well as land transport
  • Processing of internal and external price inquiries in the area of air and sea freight as well as land transportation
  • Responsible for performance on spot quotes and bid boards and ensuring performance is being tracked and reported with a view to increasing win %.
  • Marketing and proposal support for our sales team
  • Collects competitive intelligence analyzes information on market trends and conditions and gauges anticipated demand.
  • Managing data for customers including creating and maintaining customerspecific data sets for business meetings with customers
  • Working out customerspecific transport and logistics services in close cooperation with our product teams
  • Development and expansion of new and existing customer business
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Leadership skills with ability to teach and help others professionally
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Strategic thinking skills with strong business analytic skills
  • Must have very strong computer skills associated with the utilization of Excel PowerPoint Access and Project
  • Other software skills as needed such as Visio Access Outlook etc.
