You will work with NXPs industrial systems innovation team on a research testbench for advanced motor control. As motor applications become deeper integrated into complex motion control systems the embedded processors controlling the electric motors take on more complex tasks. Our work explores the impact of these developments on system architectures. You will support the team in
Porting nextgen AI algorithms to embedded HW
Connecting various sensors data sources communication devices etc. to embedded HW setups covering both physical integration and coding
Supporting experienced engineers in data logging data recording HW testing etc.
Your profile:
You are an enrolled student with focus on Electrical Engineering
You have good knowledge of embedded HW programming and debugging (MCUs and/or MPUs)
You either have good knowledge of electric motor power electronics and/or electric drives modelling and control theories or willing to learn embedded development for these used case
You are available to work onsite in our Munich lab (near the U2 Moosfeld station)
You are comfortable and motivated to support the development a full research simulation test setup
You are motivated to work on electrical mechanical and software components if necessary
You have experience writing code in Python C# C/C or similar languages is advantageous but not essential
You are fluent in English language both oral and written
Ideally you are in early stage of your studies
