Responsibilities
- Assist in the design development and testing of electrical systems and components.
- Perform electrical system analysis and suggest improvements for efficiency and reliability
- Support senior engineers in the execution of projects and ensure compliance with specifications and deadlines.
- Prepare technical documentation including drawings reports and specifications.
- Use CAD software to create electrical layouts schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Conduct testing troubleshoot faults and assist in repairs or upgrades to existing systems.
- Ensure designs and installations meet quality safety and regulatory standards.
- Assist in client meetings project discussions and presentations with technical input.
- Coordinate with teams to ensure smooth implementation of electrical designs.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols and ensure electrical systems are compliant with regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering
- ECSA registered
- English and Afrikaans speaking
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and standards
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Prior internship or work experience in electrical engineering is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
