Job Description

Position Summary
The Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Communitybased Veterinary Pharmacy Residency Program will prepare the resident to be an innovative clinical practitioner who can be a leader in the profession. The resident will have the skills confidence and experience to create change and advance patient care services in communitybased (outpatient) settings. The resident will explore current practices procedures and resources within community based veterinary pharmacy. This position will conduct research and provide innovative solutions for areas of improvement. This position will partner with student pharmacists pharmacy technicians and pharmacists as well as other health care professionals to initiate new programs and to expand existing services; and provide fresh perspectives and insights that will directly influence patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
In order to be considered for this position the candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. The candidate should also be eligible for licensure in the state of North Carolina.
