Position Summary
As the Brawley Campus Coordinator (Administrative Support Coordinator I) at SDSU Imperial Valley you will play a vital role in managing operations and fostering collaboration between our Brawley and Calexico campuses. Reporting to the Imperial Valley Campus Administrator this dynamic position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our educational community.

Department Summary
SDSU Imperial Valley is a campus/college of San Diego State University serving the desert area of southeastern California. It is accredited as an integral unit of SDSU and operates under the same governance structure and university policies. Established in 1959 by an act of the State Legislature SDSU IV offers its programs at two locations in Imperial County: Calexico and Brawley. Offering fouryear and twoyear undergraduate degrees graduate degrees and postbaccalaureate credential programs SDSU Imperial Valley helps matriculated students achieve their higher education goals. Currently SDSU IV employs 265 faculty and staff members.

Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar spelling and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite.
These qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program technical/vocational program or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.

Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $3864 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education experience and qualifications the candidate brings to the position internal equity and the hiring departments fiscal resources.
