The Cultural Navigator will walk alongside placebased Service teams providing specialist advice to support the delivery of Culturally safe services to clients and develop Culturally responsive practitioners. They will engage consultatively with Community and share knowledge and insights with Service teams to ensure that the Cultural identities contexts and protocols of place are understood acknowledged and celebrated. This role will also develop strong partnerships and relationships with Aboriginal Community members and groups and will work effectively with other Services and stakeholders to help to remove any barriers for Aboriginal people accessing our services to thrive.
This is a part time (18.75 hours per week) 2year contract with ongoing possibility.
What you will bring
You are a passionate individual with strong community relationships and a desire to challenge the barriers to thriving experienced by Aboriginal people in Albany.
To be successful in this role you will:
The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year WA Working with Children Check and WA Drivers Licence.
