Who are we looking for
GHD has a rare and exciting opportunity to join our Maritime and Coastal (M&C) practice in the Pacific Northwest! As Senior Advisor Ports (US West) you will use your experience and knowledge and be involved in exciting projects that will offer an opportunity to provide technical solutions and support business development. As the Pacific Northwest Ports Lead you will serve as a senior advisor and provide design leadership project management services client management and business development support relating to M&C projects. Further you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team on sophisticated and innovative projects support in the training and mentorship of engineers and other technicians and become part of our internal leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your industry knowledge be involved in ambitious projects provide technical solutions and mentor other specialists.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in and lead technical delivery on Maritime and Coastal (M&C) projects
- Provide marine structural technical assistance to other regions (including internationally) and other M&C project managers
- Assist with identification of business development opportunities for GHD in the Pacific Northwest in both M&C and other market sectors as related
- Lead and support M&C pursuits both in our West Region and where needed across the M&C global practice
- Play an active role in the identification and hiring of key future M&C hires
- Remain knowledgeable on the latest in M&C market trends client spending assets resiliency and logistics
- Coordinate and work with crossdiscipline teams on other market sector projects
- Stay current and advised on market trends client spending assets resiliency and logistics
- Involve yourself in local committees action groups and special interest organizations with a view towards furthering opportunities and brand recognition for GHD
- Assist in driving workshare across regions and help coordinate work with crossdiscipline teams on other market sector projects
Stay current with technical qualifications and licenses - Lead by example and mentor others in technical proficiency

The Ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Good communication skills & a motivated attitude. Ability to communicate with a diverse range of professionals from engineers to partners and clients in person and remotely
- High ethical standards and a commitment to safety willingness to travel (if necessary)
- Proficiency in Project Management software and digital systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
- 20 years of previous experience in the Ports and Maritime industry
- PE in Washington required. PE in California Hawaii and Alaska preferred but not required

Salary: $163000$245000 based on experience
